Arrive to an estate-like feel with lush green lawns, a circular driveway, and a a very peaceful neighborhood. There is also a hot tub off the deck and a new Kitchen that will blow your mind. Come enjoy our spacious home, Idlewild at Tahoe, located on the lake side of highway 89 in a quiet west shore neighborhood where homes rarely are offered for vacation rental. Arrive to an estate-like feel with lush green lawns, a circular driveway, and a a very peaceful neighborhood.

This house was designed with entertaining in mind – the living room features 40 foot cathedral ceilings and a gorgeous wood burning fireplace, a 60 inch TV for viewing movies and sports, and a hot tub on the adjoining deck. The open floor plan flows from the living room to the dining room and into the gourmet kitchen, where you will find a 6 burner gas range, 2 ovens, a wet bar and 2 kitchen sinks – and a summer deck to enjoy a coffee and breakfast.

The 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms include a private ensuite with a king bed, 2 bedrooms with queen beds that share a full bathroom, and a 4th private king bedroom that has it’s own separate outdoor entrance (or can be accessed via the insulated garage). The loft off the private ensuite overlooks the living room below and has a twin bed and couches for more space to relax.

Recreations is at your fingertips – we’re right on the Tahoe bike trail, so bring your bike and ride along the beautiful lake to nearby Tahoe City. There’s also a home owner’s beach a block away, and infamous Eagle Rock is across the road where you can take a short hike with a big reward – breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe!
Explore “a Tahoe best kept secret” – nearby Blackwood Canyon (1 minute up the road) is accessed by a 3 mile gentle road meandering to the base of Barker Pass.

Price $990 to $1500 a night – 10% room tax and $340 cleaning fee.
